YOUNGSTOWN OHIO – December 1, 2009 – Zethus Software, a leader in cloud/grid storage technology, has been named a finalist in the NorTech Innovation Awards 2010. NorTech, in partnership with Crain’s Cleveland Business, is honored to showcase Northeast Ohio’s finest examples of innovation for all to see, appreciate and aspire to. The annual NorTech Innovation Awards honors the achievements of companies, entrepreneurs, universities and nonprofit organizations throughout the region who have taken their creative concepts from vision to realities which are impacting everyday lives. These remarkable organizations are setting new world standards for technological advancement from right here in Northeast Ohio. NorTech acknowledged receipt of more than forty compelling nominations representing industries from across the region’s technology spectrum, of which Zethus Software was named a finalist.
“We are very pleased to be a finalist,” said Brad Myers, Zethus Software CEO. “It validates that Zethus Software is a premiere leader in grid storage both on a regional and national level.”
According to Olivia Robinson-Bulls of NorTech, the NorTech Innovation Awards define innovation as transformation of technical and scientific knowledge into novel products, services and processes which result in a positive economic impact to the organization, the community, and the country along with our regional and global technology economies.
NorTech acknowledges five key areas driving Northeast Ohio’s technology economy. This unique set of strengths has developed out of the region’s long heritage of manufacturing, industrial, medical and innovation industries. The NorTech Innovation Awards will recognize innovations in these broad technology categories: Instrumentation controls and technology; Information and Communications Technologies; Advanced Technologies; Biosciences and Advanced Energy, Power and Propulsion. Zethus Software is a finalist in the Information and Communications Technologies category. Last year’s winners include NASA Glenn Research Center & ZIN Technologies Inc. and Case Western Reserve University. The 2010 winners will be announced later this spring.
