YOUNGSTOWN OHIO – February 10, 2009 – Zethus Software, a leader in secure, managed storage technologies, recently announced that it is a 2009 Cycle 1 Award Recipient of The Innovation Fund of the Lorain County Community College Foundation. Established in 2007, the organization is a regional fund focused on supporting technology-based entrepreneurial endeavors and emerging technology-based businesses. Zethus Software was one of six selected out of over forty applicants.
Zethus Software secured a $100,000 “B” Grant to be used for beta testing the company’s state-of-the-art secure document management and storage system for unstructured data, stated Zethus CEO Brad Myers. “This grant will ensure a quality beta testing for our Cumulus:DocumentMatrixTM enterprise product.”
“The Innovation Fund is part of a regional grow-our-own strategy to support entrepreneurship in high-tech, high growth industries,” Dr. Roy Church, president of Lorain County Community College, said recently. “This region was built on the innovation and passion of entrepreneurs. The Innovation Fund helps to rekindle that spirit and grow new industries and jobs that represent the future economic strengths of Northeast Ohio.”
Applications to the Fund are accepted during funding cycles periodically throughout the year. The number of qualified applications is capped at 100 applications for each cycle.
