Provides remote, collaborative access to a computer controlled instrument using a KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) connection. This allows access without running or installing software on the computer controlling the instrument.
This node slides into a Symbiote Network Appliance [read more] and will assemble with all other nodes creating a cumulus:CyberLab cloud providing secure, remote access.
Allows remote access to instrument/computer via reserved sessions or ad hoc sessions. Reserved sessions allow scheduled use and organization of the instrument over time. Ad hoc sessions allow an instrument administrator (special security role) to access the instrument at any time to provide assistance or oversee use.
All sessions allow the owner to determine who (by role or individual) can view, control and admin the instrument during the session. Any number of users can be given access to the instrument for that session.
Users of the session have access to a chat system to easily communicate.
There are several options for moving data into the cumulus::CyberLab cloud: USB connection or internet connection. Both provide secure and fast data offloading from the instrument into a secure, managed storage system. Once the data has been moved into the cloud users with permission can retrieve the data and store related documents and data.
